白蜡树对城市环境适应性强，具有耐盐碱、抗涝、抗有害气体和病虫害的特点。在城区栽植发生的病害主要是白蜡流胶病。

block that turns reddish brown to tea brown after drying. Gum flow in
trees leads to weakened growth, yellowing and shrinking of leaves, and
in severe cases, withering of branches or entire plants.
